I accept only direct ("private pay") fees from clients at the time of service. I no longer accept payment from major medical health insurance plans or Employee Assistance Programs (EAP).
If you have a health insurance plan I can provide you with a paid bill showing you paid my customary Private Pay fee (see below), plus the diagnosis code and all other information needed for you to apply to your insurance company for Out-Of-Network reimbursement. Check your policy as the Out-of-Network coverage varies from company to company.
My fee for direct private payment is $100 for a standard 50-minute session.
The fee is negotiable for full-time college students or in cases of financial hardship.
I accept payment by cash, check or credit card (Visa or MasterCard) at the time of service.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy service. You can ask me or any other health care provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit the government site www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
